Dear Parish Family,
I’d like to take a moment and invite you, and every adult member of our parish to participate in our upcoming faith formation program, The Rescue Project, a 9-week small group series from March 16 through June 16. You may recall a few years ago, we introduced “ChristLife”, a small group program at the parish that allowed individuals to gather at the parish, enjoy a meal together, meet in small groups to watch a video and enjoy some conversation about the given topics. There were many fruits from this program – including new friendships, greater involvement in the parish, and most importantly, we saw more people take an active interest in their faith.
This program is similar. The Rescue Project will serve as the content for our 9-week program, and the format will be like what I described above. The difference is that many parishioners are opening their homes so that these small groups can take place in a warm home setting. We will also be offering one of the sessions at the parish on Wednesdays if that day works better for your schedule.
What is the Rescue Project?
Simply, it’s a 9-week series that delves deeper into the gospel. Specifically, there is a strong focus on the person of Jesus Christ in the context of our own lives – how we are invited to know him personally, how he came to save us and how we can respond to his call to spread his message. Fr. John Riccardo started a ministry for parishes and is known for his captivating preaching style. Each video session will provide greater understanding of the gospel and how to make it personal for our lives. Welcome Kathleen Beckman
As a kick-off to this series, I’m pleased to welcome Kathleen Beckman to our parish on Sunday, April 16, on Divine Mercy Sunday. Kathleen is a well-known author and active in evangelization and deliverance ministry. She will be presenting on one of her latest books, “A Family Guide to Spiritual Warfare.” You don’t have to look too far to see what families are faced with these days. Kathleen will discuss what is happening to the “domestic church” (families) and how parents can play an active role in defending, protecting and praying for their families.
I invite you to read more inside. Check out our volunteer facilitators on the back page, and the times and days being offered, and pick a session that works for you. I fully believe that this investment of time will be well worth it for you and ultimately for your family.
Please don’t hesitate to call the office with any questions you have. You may register at saint-anne.org. I hope that you and many of our parishioners will respond to this invitation.
With you in my prayers,
Fr. Bob
