Find out the answers to these questions and much more as we journey with Dr. Brant Pitre as he leads us on an eight-week study based on Mary titled, Mary: The Bible and the Mother of God. Dr. Pitre examines what Scripture, the life of Christ, and the early Church Fathers reveal about Mary. When we think of Mary, we typically think of her only in respect to the New Testament, but Dr. Pitre will help us see that our Catholic beliefs about Mary are deeply rooted in ancient Christianity…and that ancient Christians got their beliefs about Mary from the Old Testament. He will explain how these ancient Christian beliefs about Mary flowed directly out of what the early Christians believed about Jesus. It is through a close review of the connections between the Old Testament and the New Testament, we’ll gain deeper insight and understanding about the life and identity of Mary, the Mother of God.
